BIO
Nate Yingling Trio is a Cleveland based Jazz fusion group exploring the modern piano trio format through the lush textures of synthesizers, greasy grooves and experimental styles of composition. Formed in 2025, the band brings together piano and synth virtuosity with the pulsing drive of Darren Frate on Bass Guitar and the electic voice of Chris Walker on drumset. The band blends various modalities of Black American Music such as Jazz, Hip Hop, Neo soul and Funk.
Beyond the music, the Trio's Identity Lives in a vibrant, mythical universe created by visual artist Scooped Doodles. The world of castles, dragons, and surreal landscapes mirrors the band's sonic palette- A colorful, far-out journey that's as imaginative as it is musically adventurous. Nate Yingling Trio invites listeners to step into their unique fusion of groove, improvisation, and fantasy.
